Monica joins YDN after a long career in public service. After 30 years, she retired from the City of Sacramento as their Youth Division Manager where she managed critical youth development programs and services in workforce development, civic engagement, licensed childcare, and after school programs on elementary and middle school campuses. Monica is a youth advocate, a certified Youth Development Institute Facilitator, and is overall driven by her passion for youth development. She brings with her an expertise in all aspects of publicly funded youth programming, building and maintaining partnerships, facilitation, and especially enjoys coaching and mentoring young people and youth practitioners. She is excited to be a part of the YDN team where she will provide administrative and facilitation support.
