Nueva Epoca: A leadership program whose time has come

On Friday of last week I literally jumped for authentic joy after we ended the kick-off session for Nueva Epoca– A new leadership program for the Latino(a)/Latinx Community. A special call of gratitude goes out to co-founders Larry Garcia and Doni Blumenstock for their shared vision and commitment to creating a leadership pipeline in the Latino(a)/Latinx Community for our region. The program would not be possible without the partnership of SMUD, James B. McClatchy Foundation, the Placer Community Foundation, along with every employer who invested in forming the first cohort. On behalf of YDN and the Program Advisory Board, we congratulate the Fellows’ of Cohort I that recently graduated from the program and to Cohort II Fellows as they kick off their engagement in the Nueva Epoca Program in August 2021!
