Improve Your Chances of Achieving Your 2022 Resolutions
Curated by Vicki Stockbridge
Whether your goal is to be happier, healthier, wealthier, stronger, more successful, or more fulfilled, to achieve those goals requires you to become someone who is different from who you are today.
“Don’t make resolutions without an action plan. The secret to success is right in your hands.” — J. Allen Shaw
Consider the following 4 steps that can help you achieve your New Year’s resolutions and improve your goal achievement rate throughout the rest of the year.
- Vision Board: Use an actual vision board to help craft your concept of what your resolutions are for 2022. Writing down your goals or creating images of what you want to achieve will increase your chances of achieving them.
- Define Your Why: You must know your why if you want to accomplish anything big in life. If you don’t identify your why, you won’t have any reason to fall back on when it becomes difficult to keep on track with achieving your resolutions.
- Choose Wisely: Create resolutions that you are passionate about — otherwise, you will likely lose interest in trying to accomplish them before February rolls around. Deciding on resolutions that get you excited will help you to stay on track when obstacles come in your path and hinder you from succeeding.
- Action Plan: Create a step-by-step action plan to help define the best path toward success in this new year. Include Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) so you can have a concrete way to evaluate your progress. Stay open to changing the way you achieve resolutions if necessary. Add an accountability partner as part of the action plan.
