I had the privilege to be part of a program that not only changed my leadership style and who I am as a leader, but provided me with the tools and the community that I never thought I needed.
This program has reignited a passion in me to examine the circles that I’m in and how I can help create spaces that are more inclusive, welcoming and equitable.
The Latin X Leadership program reminded me that not only do I belong at the table where key decisions are made, but that my voice and perspective is needed to ensure people and Latino people of color are adequately represented in our government by serving on boards and commissions.
This program just continuously reminds me that regardless of where I come from, I deserve a seat at the table.
