The Sad Sierreño subgenre of Mexican Regional Music is making its way up the charts! If you’re like me, you probably went to see Junior H in concert in Wheatland this past weekend. I had an amazing time singing my heart out! If you are not familiar with Sad Sierreño music, lyrics often focus on themes of love and heartbreak. Junior H falls right under that subgenre, he refers to his fans as Sad Boyz and Sad Girlz. He prides himself on creating a safe space that gives his audiences an outlet to express themselves. He is one of many artists that are part of the subgenre, others include Ivan Cornejo, Danny Lux, Yahritza y Su Esencia, Eslabon Armado and more!
