Greater Valley Conservation Corps

I had the absolute pleasure to spend a few days last week with the Crew Leads at Greater Valley Conservation Corps (GVCC) discussing how they use the Supports and Opportunities to help their participants build skills, create community, and grow to succeed. GVCC is the only recognized conservation corps that is operated by a county office of education, the San Joaquin County Office of Education. GVCC currently provides 18 to 26 year olds with education, training, and employment in the fields of recycling and natural resources. They’re about to start another 8 week cycle with their crew members and we know they’re going to be doing some awesome work! Keep reading.
